Sunshine Hills Community Virtual Garden Show in North Delta provided a chance for local residents to connect in a different way through displays of their gardens, with support from the Neighbourhood Small Grants program.

Continuing with the success of last year's show, organizers aimed to create a virtual event that would be available to everyone in the community. They used Facebook as a platform and created a separate group specifically for the show and posted on the main Sunshine hills community group page, Instagram and the Next Door App. ReMax Performance Realty provided some advertising and the North Delta Reporter ran a story.

Some of the prizes were purchased from North Delta Artisan & Gift Market vendors.  Many volunteer hours were invested in the show.

The show's leader, Sharon Poetker, says, "I was really pleased with how it turned out. I appreciated having the grant money to work with. Prizes definitely added a fun element."
