The Delta Chamber of Commerce is spreading the holiday cheer with a $3000 donation to the Delta Community Foundation this season. Delta Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Jill McKnight, presented this cheque to Delta Community Foundation Director, Carlene Lewall, from the recent Business Excellence Awards in November. This $3000 was partial proceeds from the Business Excellence Awards auction at the event.

‘We are very appreciative of this gift to the Foundation’, says Carlene Lewall. ’This is a great infusion of support as we want to increase our funding to charities in Delta in 2024. Through these donations we are able to fund many immediate needs of charities in our community’, she adds.

“The Delta Chamber of Commerce, on behalf of the Delta business community, is delighted to support local initiatives and organizations. We feel that the Delta Community Foundations’ focus on education and social programs is both positive and impactful for Delta. Together, our organizations are helping to drive positive change. We are committed to partnering with organizations like the Delta Community Foundation to facilitate growth in our community for years to come,” says Rosanne Horner, Board Chair, Delta Chamber of Commerce

The Delta Community Foundation supported Delta charities this past year with over $90,000 in funding. Since 2021, the Delta Chamber of Commerce has given close to $10,000 to the Delta Community Foundation.

Through the generosity of Delta Community Foundation donors, the Foundation can fund initiatives, charities and non-profit organizations operating in sectors such as mental health, education, arts, culture & heritage, children & youth, environment, food security, Indigenous initiatives, neighborhoods, seniors and much more.
