Canada Student Job – Admin & Marketing Assistant
Are you a student looking to gain valuable experience in admin and marketing? The Delta Community Foundation is hiring a student for a remote work opportunity this summer, approx 30 hrs a week, May-August. The student will help with various administrative functions and events.

Job requirements: Open to students w/ high school diploma, strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google Workspace, WordPress, Acrobat Pro), Effective Communication Skills.

Position Description:

Position commences May 15, 2024
Job Type: Temporary, Part-time
Contract length: May-Sept, 30 hours/week
Work location: Remote
Rate: $24/hr

General Admin:

  • Support the administrative needs of board members in their committee work.
  • Help to organize committee meetings and agendas.
  • Check emails, respond or redirect to the appropriate person.
  • General office duties (ordering, printing, scanning, filing).
  • Assist with data entry.
  • Update spreadsheets using Excel, Googlesheets.
  • Update Keela database.
  • Organize DCF Google Drive to reflect the needs of the organization, ensure documents are up to date, old documents are removed and files are accessible to the board.
  • Creating a tutorial for board members showing them how to set up DCF email accounts to access DCF Google Drive.
  • Website updates-creating new pages and updating existing pages.

Marketing:

  • Work with marketing team to implement digital marketing plan.
  • Set up digital analytics for website.
  • Coordinate monthly newsletters through Keela database.
  • Distribute press releases.
  • Organize photo presentations with donors, grant recipients, board.
  • Format and assemble governance manual.

 Nominations:

  • Work with committee to produce orientation package.
  • Create Power Point board orientation presentation.

Community/Events:

  • Help organize and attend events.
  • Work with Volunteer coordinator to determine needs of events and organize collateral as needed.
  • Attend the Ladner Business Association Expo on June 8.

Job Requirements:

Minimum High School Diploma.

Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Canva, Google Workspace, WordPress, Adobe Acrobat Pro).

General knowledge of any accounting program is an asset.

Effective communication skills (verbal & written)
