Named Funds: A lasting legacy

The Foundation has two ways of immediately establishing named memorial funds, the Named Endowed Fund and the Named Donor Designated Fund. Donors may wish to establish an Emerging Fund, which allows for naming after five years.

Make an appointment with the Delta Community Foundation to discuss our many options for charitable giving.

Named Endowed Fund

Imagine having a legacy fund that would support the charities or causes most important to you. For a minimum donation of $25,000, investment income will go to a specific charity or cause each year. Or, if you wish to make an unrestricted endowment, the funds will go to charities deemed to be the most important to Delta in that particular year. Endowed Funds are permanent.

Named Donor Designated Fund

A memorial or Named fund can also be established with a minimum donation of $10,000 with the same options as the Endowed Fund. Current Foundation policy and intention is that Donor Designated Funds are established as permanent funds, but if circumstances change, this policy may be subject to change.

Emerging Fund

Donors can choose to make an initial donation and pledge to meet the minimum investment within five years for a Named Endowed Fund or Named Donor Designated Fund. The DCF does not permit distributions from an Emerging Fund until the minimum level is met.
