Delta Community Foundation Grant Supports “The Magic Pencil Project”
A Community Prosperity Grant from the Delta Community Foundation is helping the North Delta Rotary Club launch a new community project in partnership with the Delta School District.
The Magic Pencil Project supplies North Delta elementary and secondary students with school supplies, this began during the current school year in response to the growing number of Delta families struggling to pay for their childrens back-to-school expenses.
“The Delta Community Foundation is proud to support school initiatives in Delta. We recognize the importance of having the proper supplies for our children and rely on partnerships, with organizations like Rotary, to identify the greatest needs in the community, says DCF President Gillian Lowrey.”
