Annual neighbourhood street party with Neighbourhood Small Grant

Mexican Fiesta was the theme of the ninth neighbourhood street party in Ladner on July 13, 2019. This year the local residents were given an extra boost with $300 from a Neighbourhood Small Grant from the Delta Foundation, through funding from the Vancouver Foundation.

Shoreline clean up with Neighbourhood Small Grant

Eighty volunteers of all ages, from Tsawwassen and Ladner, assembled on a Saturday in June and removed 6,045 pounds of debris off 16 local shorelines. The clean up crew tracked what was being collected then weighed, sorted and transported it for recycling or waste disposal. A Neighbourhood Small Grant from the Delta Foundation, through funding from the Vancouver Foundation, covered hospitality and other expenses.

North Delta block party with Neighbourhood Small Grant

A culturally diverse neighbourhood in North Delta, ranging from young children to seniors, held a block party on September 7, 2019 simply to bring the local community or neighbourhood together. It was funded by the Neighbourhood Small Grants from the Delta Foundation, with funding from the Vancouver Foundation.

Tsawwassen street party with Neighbourhood Small Grant

Continuing an event of the past two years, a group of Tsawwassen residents held an end-of-summer street party on September 7 to mark the subdivision’s 45th Anniversary. The event organizers wanted to reach out to more people, young and old, living in the area to help celebrate, with the help of $400 from the Delta Foundation’s Neighbourhood Small Grants program, funded by the Vancouver Foundation.
